Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions [ FAQs ]

How conservative are the job seekers?

Each job seeker is asked to fill out a Public Policy Questionnaire (PPQ) upon registration. As an employer, you will see all answers to the PPQ as well as a summary rating of the responses.

Do job listings or job seeker profiles expire?

Yes. To keep our listings as current as possible, all job listings become inactive 30 days after the job posting date. For job seekers, listings become inactive 90 days after the last login date.

In either case, you have the option to renew your job listing or set your job seeker profile back to "public."

I've have a job! How do I make my profile inactive?

Congratulations on the new job! To make your profile inactive, click on the option to edit your profile. Toward the bottom of the page, you'll see an option to make your profile private. This will make it unsearchable, and will deactivate it in our database. All of your data will be saved, however.

If you find yourself back in the job market again, simply log in, edit your profile, and choose the option to make it public. You will be reactivated.

Why is some contact information hidden?

Some job seekers and employers choose to use our system anonymously. When you register, you may choose to have all of your contact information displayed, which will maximize the possibility of being contacted, or you may hide your contact information while making contacts through our "Job Alert" or "Job Application" functions.

Privacy options can be found when editing job seeker, recruiter, and company profiles.

How does this site work?

Jobseekers fill out a detailed jobseeker profile and post their resumes. Employers fill out a detailed company profile and post job openings. Both employers and jobseekers search each other's listings to find matches, or contact the Leadership Institute directly for personal assistance in the process. That's all there is to it!

Will you sell my personal information?

Never! We respect your privacy, and while we may contact you from time to time, we will not sell your information to any third parties.

Is this site really free?

Yes! This site is completely free for both jobseekers and employers. It is funded by the generous donors to the Leadership Institute.
